Privacy Policy
How this website handles the information you share, and the care taken to protect it.
Your Privacy, In Plain Terms
What information is collected
This website collects the information you choose to submit through the contact form or by calling, texting, or emailing directly — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message. If you contact Cynthia Benedict to schedule a session, no clinical or health information is collected through the website itself; any intake paperwork and clinical records are handled separately, in person or through a secure client portal, and are governed by HIPAA and Florida licensing requirements rather than by this website.
How your information is used
Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation, or answer your questions. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a cookie banner to ask for your consent before running analytics cookies, which help understand general visitor traffic (such as which pages are viewed). You can accept or reject these cookies at any time from the banner shown on your first visit. Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to browse the site or reach out for services.
HIPAA and clinical confidentiality
As a licensed counselor, Cynthia Benedict follows HIPAA privacy and security standards for any protected health information created once you become a client — including intake forms, session notes, and treatment records. Those records are kept separately from this website's contact form and are never transmitted or stored through the site. A full Notice of Privacy Practices is provided at the start of care and is available on request.
Data retention and security
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and maintain a reasonable business record, then deleted. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect any information you share.
Your choices and questions
You're welcome to ask what information has been collected, request it be corrected or deleted, or ask any question about this policy by emailing [email protected] or calling 407-949-1954.
