I offer a variety of counseling services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. Specialized services for issues such as divorce, anger management, and grief and loss are provided in a safe, nonjudgmental office or virtual teletherapy.
As an experienced therapist and coach I use a client-centered approach of cognitive behavioral and problem solving focus in working collaboratively w clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. I also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Calling all youth! Transitioning from childhood to adulthood is not an easy task. Teen therapy can provide important support. Through teen therapy, teenagers can explore and better understand their emotions, behavior, and experiences. A teen therapist may use techniques like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help teens process difficult situations and identify positive coping skills.

With the right tools, you can learn to acknowledge your feelings and harness those emotions in more positive ways. Understand how YOU react to anger as everyone reacts differently. Pay attention as your anger builds and try to understand what is REALLY bothering you in the moment. Knowing how you react will help you gain better control of your emotions in difficult situations and manage with more appropriate responses. A supportive therapist can HELP!!!
Counseling can be incredibly beneficial for children. Through counseling, children learn how to regulate their powerful emotions. Children will better understand WHY they have certain feelings which helps to foster greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence Additionally a counselor can provide guidance on how to respond in situations where anger, anxiety or sadness arise, arming kids with skills they need to manage emotions in more constructive ways.
